Good news for all banking career aspirants. RBI is recruiting Grade B Officer for the year 2017. The eligible candidates can complete the formalities online to appear in the examinations. The eligibility criteria is mentioned below-
Educational Qualification– Candidates must be graduate with minimum 60%, in higher secondary exam also the percentage requirement is 60%. For the candidates in reserved categories- ST/SC/PWD minimum percentage is 50%.
Age Limit– Minimum age 21 and maximum is 30. The applicants from reserve categories enjoys flexibility in the age limit mentioned.
No of Attempts– General candidates have 6 attempts into their credit. In case of candidates from the reserved category; there is no restriction applicable up to their maximum age limit.
How to Apply Online for RBI Grade B Officer Recruitment 2017?
Check the official website of RBI https://www.rbi.org.in/ to download the application form. The fee payment is online only. General and OBC candidates have to pay Rs 850; the PWD and other reserved category have to pay Rs 100.
This All India Level exam will be conducted online. Total no of vacancy is 161 and gross salary of the officer is Rs 54,970 only.
The Selection Procedure contains 3 Steps. Phase 1 is objective type questions 200 marks. Phase 2 is both objective and descriptive 300 marks. Qualified candidates will be called for final phase 3 the interview round 50 marks.
The phase 1 will carry 200 questions. The syllabus will contain-(1) General Awareness, (2) English Language, (3) Quantitative Aptitude and (4) Reasoning. Negative marking of 0.25 marks is active for each wrong answer.
Exam duration– 2 hours.
In the phase 2 exam paper 1 and 3 are objective, paper 2 is descriptive.
Paper-1 Economic & Social Issues, paper-2 English Language and paper-3 Finance & Management. Exam duration- 270 minutes (90 minutes for each paper). There is no negative marking for phase 2.
Important Dates to Remember for Grade B Officer:-
- Last Date of applying- 23 May 2017. Admit card for Phase -1 is 2nd week of June 2017.
- Date of Phase-1 exam 17 June 2017.Result of Phase-1 is- End of June 2017.
- Admit Card for Phase-2 exam- 2 July 2017 exam date is 7 July 2017.
- Announcement of Phase-2 exam is August 2017.
- Interview & final results will be provided by August 2017.
